Who are you really? A friend was talking about this question a few weeks back and it really struck a chord with me. So who are you? Are you who everyone thinks you are? Are you the same person you are at church or work as you are at home or out with your friends? Who do you portray? Are you running from the person who you are or who you think you are? Are you drowning and no one is noticing you slip away?-- All of these questions have been running through my mind as I evaluate myself and observe those around me. I want to be the person God desires of me. Only you truly can answer this question, only you and God know who you really are.
Who does God desire you to be?
I love this, really gets you thinking. Ive actually been thinking a lot about this question myself lately. And I dont always like the person I am..Im constantly struggling with this "Monster" (as I call it) inside of me.. the "wordly" me.. and the part of me that desires to be who God wants me to be. I know everyone has their own struggles and sins they deal with. And Im comforted by the fact that God loves me and I am forgiven. But I do strive every day to do better and to be better in what Gods will is for me as a wife and mother, a sister and Auntie... as an example for my friends and non believers and as a person in general. I am often curious about who I REALLY am.. sometimes I feel like I dont know. I get so caught up trying to be everything for everyone while still trying to do whats right.. and obviously that cant happen. I CANT pleae everyone.. and God should be the only one I am trying to please.... *sigh*
